Renovations to a 19th-Century era warehouse structure located in the Brewery District of downtown Columbus, revitalizing the building for urban loft-style apartment living, in a historic walkable downtown community. This project benefited from the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit program, requiring detailed analysis of the history and uses of the building, including an intensive cooperative relationship between developer, design team, and historic preservation specialists at the state and federal level, to arrive at a marketable project preserving and repurposing this historic building.
Lupton Rausch provided all services for historic analysis, rehabilitation of original steel and wood window assemblies, masonry restoration, stone repairs, and preservation of heavy timber structure, creating the framework for unique loft-style apartment living.
