The Chase Tech Center was a total renovation of an existing 84,000- square foot, one-story office building adjacent to Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation’s main campus at Easton. The space was designed specifically to the requirements of the Chase Information Technology Group consisting of 380 computer and technology specialists.
Lupton Rausch worked closely with the user group to develop a program consisting of an open office environ-ment that grouped the users in clusters of open 120° workstations that allowed them to work as a team. This approach facilitates the flow of ideas and communication amongst team members and assists in the problem solving of complex computer programming tasks.
We were responsible for programming; interior and architectural design and documentation; furniture and finish design and specification; and construction administration. We worked closely with the engineering consultants and construction team to coordinate and integrate the complex power and data/voice requirements, emergency power and network support systems that were critical to the success of this project.
