This AIA award-winning design attacks the status quo of basic suburban office structures. Building masses are arranged as a boundary for the internal site, aligning with dominant site geometries, placing the concept studio wing at one end, and the 3-D model shop-services wing at an opposing end and opposing site geometry. The overlay space between the two wings expresses a constant dynamic of forms, surfaces, spaces. The main lobby focuses on product displays and reveals work in process, interlocking with the café/resource library, various meeting spaces and kitchen product displays. Specialized casual meeting areas claim key corners, fill in-between nooks and culminate with the celebrated tree-house space, a special elevated area with a focused view to the site.
