The Province at The Ohio State University project is a single-phase urban redevelopment, covering 2.6 acres in downtown Columbus adjacent to The Ohio State University campus. The master plan for the development is focused on establishing a core block of community-oriented student housing intended to support the goals of providing residential accommodations for all freshman and sophomore classes of the university. The project embraces the concept of a 24/7 living-learning environment while allowing for a dense collection of flats, multi-level townhomes, and specialty units as well as integrated learning centers that accommodate unique site characteristics.
The Lupton Rausch team is designing and documenting this residential construction project, with 445 beds/ 240 parking spaces in a four-story structure. Work includes design and construction of an on grade parking garage structure on the site. The project has a planned completion of fall 2012.
